About Salty Thomason
President of LeaderShift, LLC™
One thing that sets Salty Thomason apart from other coaches and facilitators is his successful track record "in the trenches". Most recently, he served as President and CEO of Pella Windows and Doors of Houston, increasing employee engagement and doubling revenue over eight years. Salty's 30 years of prior experience was in the electrical supply industry in sales and sales management.
Over the years, Salty added to his knowledge and skills by completing certifications such as the Certified Professional Manufacturer's Representative (CPMR) and the Certified Graduate Associate of the National Association of Home Builders. He was recognized early on as a "leader among leaders" which brought him recognition and ultimately Board service. He served as the President of the Houston Chapter of the National Electrical Manufacturer's Association, Board member for the Houston Area Illumination Engineering Society, HomeAid Houston Board officer, Texas Repertory Theatre Board member, and he served on the National Distributor Advisory Board for Pella Corporation.
Salty was honored as the Greater Houston Builder's Association Remodeler's Council Associate of the Year and in 2013 he was named a Small Business of the Year Award Finalist by the Lone Star College Small Business Development Center.
In a phrase, Salty Thomason is a lifelong learner and a culture change leader. He is a voracious reader and he continues to identify new and better strategies for building and maintaining productive team and customer relationships.
Salty is a graduate from the University of Texas at Austin in Business Administration. He has since lived and worked in the greater Houston area. He is married to Barbara Thomason, President of the Houston Northwest Chamber of Commerce and they have two grown children and one spectacularly precious grandson named Camden Tyler Thomason.
